50% Champions League Free Bet Whatever the Result
Until October 15 Coins.Game returns half your Champions League stake as a free bet, even if the bet wins. The terms, the 1.8 odds trap and the matches to watch.
A betting bonus usually works like insurance: you lose and get part of it back. The new Coins.Game promotion is more generous. Until October 15, every Champions League bet earns a free bet worth half its stake, whatever the result. Win, and you keep the winnings plus the free bet. Lose, and the free bet is still yours.
The timing is right: Champions League matchday 2 is on October 13 and 14, and the fixtures are big ones.
Promotion terms
- activate the promotion on the free bet page;
- bet $5 or more on any Champions League match at odds of 1.8 or higher;
- singles and accumulators count, pre-match and live, on any market;
- once the bet settles, won or lost, you get a free bet worth 50% of the stake, up to $50;
- the promotion runs until October 15, 23:59 UTC. Cancelled and void bets do not count.
The key difference from insurance
Last week the site ran bet insurance on Liverpool vs Man City, which we covered in Liverpool vs City: 200 Matches of History and an Insured Bet. There the free bet only came for a losing bet. This time it is different: the bonus is earned simply by placing the bet, and the match result does not affect it.
The trap: odds of 1.8 or more
The most important condition is in the small print. Champions League favourites are often priced below 1.8. An example from the site: in Galatasaray vs Barcelona, Barcelona to win is 1.26, the draw is 6.80 and a Galatasaray win is 8.60. A single bet on Barcelona will not qualify.
There are three ways around it:
- Another market. Totals, handicaps and goal markets are often priced at 1.8 or more even in games with a clear favourite.
- An accumulator. Two or three selections at 1.30–1.50 in an accumulator easily take the total odds above 1.8.
- The underdog or the draw. Riskier, but the payout is bigger, and the free bet arrives either way.
How much you can get
The free bet is capped at $50, which is half of $100. A $100 stake gets the maximum free bet; a $200 stake still gets $50. A $20 stake brings $10.
Example: $100 on a home win at 2.10. If the bet lands, you collect $210 plus a $50 free bet. If not, a $50 free bet still arrives. Just remember a free bet is a free stake, not cash on your balance: when it wins, you usually get the net winnings without the free bet amount itself.
Matches worth betting on
October 13
- Atlético Madrid vs Manchester United. The Metropolitano, 8pm UK time. One of the most even games of the round.
- Galatasaray vs Barcelona. Istanbul, 8pm UK time. A clear favourite and one of Europe's most famous atmospheres.
October 14
- Roma vs Real Madrid. The headline story of the round: José Mourinho returns to Rome, this time as Real Madrid's coach.
- Manchester City vs PSG. City host the reigning Champions League winners.
A bonus on top of a bonus
