Rump and Halloween, Mine Slot and Doctor Dust: Fear Ranking

A vampire politician, a pumpkin mine and a post-apocalypse. We broke down three Halloween releases on Coins.Game by the demo rules: mechanics and jackpots.

Rump and Halloween, Mine Slot and Doctor Dust: Fear Ranking

Halloween in the Coins.Game lobby went down three roads at once: funny, cozy and properly creepy. We opened three fresh releases in demo, read the rules from the first line to the last and gave each one a fear rating. One point means "fine to watch with a kid", five means "better not play it alone at night".

The fear scale

Slot Provider Format Fear Cap
Rump and Halloween InOut Games 3 reels, 8 lines, coins 3 out of 5 $20,000
Mine Slot Halloween InOut Games 5 reels and a 5x7 mine 2 out of 5 not stated in the rules
Doctor Dust Hacksaw Gaming 5x5 clusters 5 out of 5 12,000x

All numbers come from the rules inside the games on Coins.Game. When the rules do not say something, we say so openly and do not make anything up.

3 out of 5: Rump and Halloween, the vampire in the red tie

A vampire in an orange wig, dark glasses and a red tie sits on the throne. One hand holds a glass, the other, judging by the animation, a skull. It is a parody of a well-known American politician with a slightly altered name, and the reels hold a whole gallery of caricatures: a clown, a green Frankenstein in a suit, a guy in black shades. It is funny from the first second.

The mechanics are coin-based. Instead of fruit on paylines, the stars here are coins with amounts:

  • Bonus Coin carries a value or a jackpot;
  • Rump Coin triggers a collect of all coins on screen;
  • Super Rump Coin collects everything and can be boosted: a multiplier from x2 to x10, an instant jackpot, or 2, 3 or 5 extra coins.

The bonus game starts when coins land on reels 1 and 3 and a Rump Coin or Super Rump Coin sits on reel 2. Then you get three spins, and every new Rump Coin resets the counter back to three. While coins keep falling, the round does not end.

There are four jackpots, calculated from your bet:

Jackpot Multiplier At a $0.20 bet
Mini 25x $5
Minor 50x $10
Major 150x $30
Grand 1000x $200

Bets in the game run from $0.12 to $2, and the maximum win is $20,000. You can buy the bonus for 75, 200 or 300 bets: the more expensive, the more starting coins, and at 300 bets a Super Rump Coin and the boost are guaranteed. There is also an Extra Chance mode that, according to the rules, raises the chance of the bonus five times. RTP is not stated in the rules.

2 out of 5: Mine Slot Halloween, the mine with pumpkins

The coziest slot of the three. A purple sky, pixel ghosts, and pumpkins glowing where the grass should be. If you like games about a blocky world with pickaxes, everything here will feel familiar.

The principle is unusual. There are five reels with three symbols each, but the symbols are pickaxes: wooden, stone, golden and enchanted. When the reels stop, the pickaxes drop onto a 5x7 field of blocks and dig through whatever they meet. Each pickaxe has durability, each block has its own toughness, and every broken block pays a reward. There are six block types: dirt, stone, ore, gold, diamonds and obsidian.

The main lure is at the bottom. At the end of each row stands a closed chest. As soon as a row is completely cleared of blocks, the chest opens and gives a multiplier: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x or 100x. Multipliers from different chests do not add up, they multiply. Two opened chests with 10x and 25x already give 250x on the total win, and three chests turn the evening into a holiday.

The bonus game is triggered by three scatters or a purchase and consists of four free spins. During them the field does not refresh between spins, so the destruction accumulates. By the fourth spin the mine looks like it has been through a good cleanup day. The win cap and RTP are not stated in the rules, so we will not promise them.

5 out of 5: Doctor Dust, the plague doctor of the wasteland

Halloween without candy. Post-apocalypse, green smoke, rusty gates with a "No entry" sign and a hero in a gas mask collecting components for the grid boosters. This is the slot we recommend playing in daylight.

The rules: a 5x5 grid, wins come from 4 or more matching symbols touching each other, and after every payout the symbols vanish and new ones drop in. Next to the grid hangs a bar with five segments. Each segment fills with eight winning symbols, and the further you go, the more boosters the grid gets:

  • Clone copies one row onto its neighbors;
  • Switch replaces the symbols in several rows with the first symbol of the row;
  • Wilds adds 2 to 5 wild symbols, some with multipliers from x2 to x100;
  • Power Line clears one row and one column and hands out multipliers to the cells.

Cell multipliers are summed, not multiplied, and disappear right after a win. There are two bonus modes. If 40 winning symbols are collected in one spin, Surface Search starts: the first spin goes with all four boosters at once, and the series continues as long as at least one segment fills in each new spin. There is no limit on the number of repeated spins. If 72 symbols are collected, Toxic Vault kicks in: it starts with two free spins right away, and the second one is guaranteed to run with all four boosters.

The cap is 12,000x the bet, RTP is 96.3%, and bets run from 0.10 to 75. The demo on Coins.Game also has a bonus buy, and the RTP when buying barely differs, from 96.3% to 96.33%.

Which slot for whom

  • Want to laugh and catch a jackpot: Rump and Halloween. Four jackpots and coins that do not let the round end.
  • Want a relaxed game and pretty chests: Mine Slot Halloween. Set a small bet and watch the pickaxes dig through the field.
  • Want adrenaline and complex mechanics: Doctor Dust. If you like Hacksaw, this is for you.

Halloween games in the lobby do not stop at three: the Halloween slots roundup and the breakdown of three new horror slots of the week hold other ones, and the vampire angler from Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 fishes for a 20,000x cap.
