Two Nights: PSG vs Barcelona, Bayern vs Arsenal and NBA Opening Night

Tuesday and Wednesday look like days to take off work. In Paris, two teams unbeaten in the Champions League meet head to head. In Munich, Bayern host Arsenal, the only club in the tournament that has not conceded a single goal yet. And on Tuesday night the NBA season tips off: LeBron James pulls on a Philadelphia jersey for the first time, against the defending champions, the New York Knicks. We put together the schedule in your time zone and everything worth knowing before kick-off.

PSG vs Barcelona: two leaders in one match

Tuesday, 20:00 in London, Parc des Princes. Both teams arrive at matchday 3 with six points from two wins. PSG lead the league phase on goals scored: the Parisians have 10 scored and 3 conceded, Barcelona 9 scored and 2 conceded, and both have a goal difference of plus seven. PSG remain unbeaten.

The Opta analysts rate the chances almost level: 39.7% for a PSG win and 37.7% for a Barcelona win. The previews also mention squads: according to different outlets, Gabriel Jesus and Eric Garcia are in doubt on the Catalan side, while PSG will be without Senny Mayulu. It is worth checking lineups an hour before the match, not from a preview written a day earlier.

Bayern vs Arsenal: a wall against an attack

Wednesday, 20:00 in London, Allianz Arena. Arsenal are the only club in the Champions League that has not conceded a goal yet. Bayern scored eleven in their last two home matches, but at the back things are less calm: according to previews, the Bavarians conceded in three of their last five matches, including a 3-3 draw with Viking.

That gives a storyline of "a defense with nothing conceded against an attack that scored eleven in two home matches". Keep it in mind, but remember that no statistic cancels the fact that one match lasts 90 minutes.

NBA opening night: three games in one night

Game Time in London Time in New York What to watch
Boston at Detroit Tue, 20:00 Tue, 15:00 a first look at the Tatum and Paul George pairing: Jaylen Brown was traded to Philadelphia in July
Philadelphia at New York Wed, 00:00 Tue, 19:00 LeBron James's debut for Philadelphia against the Knicks, on the night the championship banner is raised at Madison Square Garden
Oklahoma City at San Antonio Wed, 02:30 Tue, 21:30 a rematch of last season's Western Conference Finals

For those in Europe, the main game tips off after midnight and the last one at 02:30, so a morning look at the line and the results works fine. In New York the whole NBA evening fits between 15:00 and about midnight.

The weekly sports bonus and these two nights

All these games fall into the weekly sports bonus window: it counts bets on sports and esports from Sunday to Friday, and the bonus arrives on Saturday with no wagering. The full ladder of tiers, from $1 for $100 of turnover up to $10,000, is broken down in our article on the sports bonus tiers. Remember the main rule: the bonus returns about 2% of turnover and is not a reason to bet more than you planned.

How to watch and play calmly

  • Set a limit for the two nights in advance. One shared ceiling for Tuesday and Wednesday beats decisions made during a match.
  • Check lineups an hour before the game. Previews written a day earlier go stale quickly.
  • Do not bet on everything at once. Two nights of Champions League and NBA are nearly two dozen games, and picking one or two beats picking ten.
  • Mind the odds. If you want an idea of how to count winning streaks, look at the breakdown of the odds hunt.

We also covered the 50% Champions League free bet earlier: at the time of writing there is no such promo on the site, but the format of the past one helps to understand how to look at insurance-style promos.
