Le Vampire vs Gator Hunters 2: A Duel of October's New Slots

A vampire from Hacksaw and gator hunters from Nolimit City landed five days apart. We compare mechanics, bonuses and risk round by round and pick a winner.

Le Vampire vs Gator Hunters 2: A Duel of October's New Slots

October has turned dark for game providers. On October 1 Hacksaw Gaming released Le Vampire, in which Smokey the raccoon from the Le series puts on a cape and grows fangs. On October 6 Nolimit City went back to the swamp with Gator Hunters 2 and the hunter Greg. Both games are already on Coins.Game.

The two slots could hardly be more different, so let's stage a four-round duel. At the end we will say who each one is for.

Round 1. Mechanics

Le Vampire pays in clusters: five or more matching symbols touching each other form a win, they disappear, and new ones drop in. The Le series signature is all there: golden squares that build up value and rainbow symbols that reveal it. The new twist is Blood Rain, which turns positions into blood squares. They work like golden squares but cannot reveal the small bronze coins, which effectively lifts the average reveal.

Gator Hunters 2 plays like an action film. At the start of a spin a Fire Zone can appear, anywhere from 2×2 up to the full grid, and upgrade the special symbols inside it. Eater gators swallow groups of symbols and turn into wilds; Super Eaters become multiplier wilds of 2x, 3x or 10x. And revolvers spin a cylinder of multiplier bullets from 2x to 3,000x mixed with empty chambers.

Round verdict: Le Vampire has clearer rules, Gator Hunters 2 packs more action into every spin.

Round 2. Bonus games

Le Vampire has three free-spin modes, decided by how many FS symbols land:

  • 3 symbols: Coffin Break, 10 spins;
  • 4 symbols: Love at First Bite, 10 spins with highlighted golden and blood squares;
  • 5 symbols: Do Your Fang, with a rainbow symbol guaranteed on every spin.

Gator Hunters 2 has two modes: Gatornado Spins (7 spins for three bonus symbols, each extra bonus adds a spin) and Fire Gatornado Spins (9 spins for four symbols, only large Fire Zones and the strongest revolvers).

Round verdict: a draw. The vampire offers more variety, the gators hit harder.

Round 3. Bonus buys

Both slots let you skip the wait and buy the bonus, and the prices say a lot about their character.

  • Le Vampire: from 3x the bet for a spin with a boosted bonus chance up to 500x for a spin with a guaranteed epic rainbow symbol. Coffin Break free spins cost 60x, Love at First Bite 250x.
  • Gator Hunters 2: Gatornado Spins for 80x, Lucky Draw for 285x, Bullet Juicer Spins for 390x, Fire Gatornado Spins for 700x. On top of that come Nolimit's signature boosters, up to the Massacre Spin at 1,400x the bet.

When a bonus buy makes sense and when it is overpaying is covered in Five Best Bonus Buy Slots.

Round verdict: Le Vampire is cheaper to get into; Gator Hunters 2 is built for players ready to pay hundreds of bets for a single shot.

Round 4. Risk

Volatility decides this one. Le Vampire's is medium, and roughly every third spin is a winning one. Your balance lasts longer, big hits are rarer, but so are long dry spells.

Nolimit City itself calls Gator Hunters 2 extremely volatile. This is a slot where dozens of spins in a row can return almost nothing, and then one revolver fires a multiplier in the thousands. Its 30,000x max is double the vampire's, but the road there is longer and more expensive.

Round verdict: Le Vampire for a relaxed session, Gator Hunters 2 for chasing a huge hit.

Which slot is for you

Pick Le Vampire if you like the Le series, clusters and cascades, and want to play for a long time at small stakes. A good choice if you want horror atmosphere without the stress. Play Le Vampire.

Pick Gator Hunters 2 if you enjoyed the first game, know what Nolimit volatility means, and have decided in advance how much a session can cost. Play Gator Hunters 2.
